Take Some Time to Regain Strength for the Journey

This has been a trying week. I had to take a minute to take a breather for myself. When we go through, sometimes we have to take a step back and realize what we “signed up for” when we said a vibrant and matter-of-fact, YES!

You’ll never know the power of joy until you’ve experienced the necessity of pain.

I asked God to take away the remembrance of pain and its feeling…he said no.

Why?

Because not taking it away is his answer to my other prayer of understanding and knowing unspeakable joy and happiness.

I’m reminded that when I said yes to the Lord, I said yes to everything that comes with fighting my way through just to serve Him. The people and circumstances that are meant to try our faith are a necessity.

It won’t always be pretty and at times, it will burn to the core.

I knew I would experience exactly what I’m experiencing now but if I keep reminding myself that it’s all for the glory, I’ll make it through.

God used someone to tell me to hold on and that I’d be even more amazed than I already am with the great I AM, and his mighty works, and what he’s yet to do in my life.

I’m still holding on, but I’m not crazy… I know that I have to call upon those who can get a prayer through to help me continue to press through.

Going through can make you want to give up, but I encourage you as I encourage myself to keep going.

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ~Jesus: Matthew 26:41 (KJV)

RECAP:

It’s up to me to pick myself and keep it moving, or stay somber and sulk in a woe-is-me state of mind. Choices.

REALITY CHECK:
Get up, shake it off, and do something about your situation.
